Waterloo Recreation Area is the largest park in the Lower Peninsula. The park is home to rustic, equestrian and modern campgrounds (some sites with 50 amp service), cabins/yurts, beaches, picnic areas, fishing lakes, nature trails, hiking trails, mountain biking trails, equestrian trails, swimming beaches, several picnic sites, the Gerald Eddy Discovery Center?and much more.

The DTE Energy Foundation Trail?is a cutting-edge, sustainable trail open to mountain biking, trail running, hiking and cross-country skiing.

?helps visitors explore areas of the park where traditional wheelchairs might not. These off-road, electronic chairs can easily handle trails, snow, sand and up to 8 inches of water and are available on a first-come, first-served basis at no cost.
